More About The Position

Hi, I’m Maria! I’m a solo-preneur, Lamaze-certified childbirth educator, and the founder of Primal Pregnancy. My app provides concise, evidence-based birth education in a quick and easy format to supplement traditional childbirth classes. I created it to help expectant mothers trust their bodies, make informed decisions, and achieve better birth experiences.

I am testing out a coaching service within the app, where users can join a monthly live Q&A. I’d like to bring on a warm, experienced, and holistic-minded birth worker to host one coaching session per month with my app users. These sessions are supportive and affirming — you’ll answer questions from pregnant moms, listen carefully, and support them with evidence-based answers. This is a flexible, remote role with very low time commitment — perfect if you love sharing your wisdom without being on-call for births!

What You’ll Do

• Host one live 60–90 minute group Q&A session per month via Zoom

• Listen more than you speak and give calm, evidence-based answers to the moms’ questions

• Affirm each woman’s ability to birth normally and physiologically (complications aside, of course)

• Refrain from giving medical advice - we are here to provide evidence-based answers and support each woman however she chooses to proceed with the information

• Discuss both evidence-based practices and non evidence-based routine interventions (such as cervical checks, continuous fetal monitoring, and post-term inductions)

• Support women’s autonomy and choices across all settings — hospital, birth center, home birth, or freebirth — without judgment

• Bring a holistic, “crunchy,” woman-centered perspective

What I’m Looking For

• You have attended at least 50 births as a doula, midwife, or primary birth attendant

• You deeply believe in women’s innate ability to birth without routine interventions

• You stay current with evidence-based birth practices and are comfortable discussing common non-evidence-based routines

• You have a holistic / “crunchy” mindset

• You’re comfortable on camera, a great listener, and are able to respond in a reassuring, non-judgmental way

• You have reliable internet and a quiet space for the sessions

What I Offer

• Pay of $100 per session

• Very low time commitment — only about 60-90 minutes per month with some communication in between

• Room to earn more as the app grows (extra sessions or content creation)
